How much notice is required if I plan on moving?

For month-to-month leases, we require one month’s written notice on or before the first day of the month for the month you plan to vacate. Tenants and all possessions must be vacated from the unit by the end of the day on the last day of the month. For year leases, we require 3 months' written notice on or before the last three months of the lease. The lease renews each year for another year unless proper notice is provided.

After 5 years, the lease converts to a month-to-month lease. Please note that an improper moving notice can result in the loss of your security deposit.

Do you do a walk through with me when I vacate the apartment?

No, unfortunately we are unable to do this due to the volume of activity that occurs at the end of the month. You are welcome to take pictures and/or video as proof of the departing cleanliness/condition of the unit.

How do I apply to have my security deposit returned?

Cleaning must be completed by the end of the month, and keys returned (contact us for the cleaning requirements). You can apply for the return of your security deposit through this link.

Can my landlord enter my rental unit without notice?

No. In New Brunswick, landlords must usually provide written notice before entering an occupied rental unit, unless there is an emergency or the tenant has requested repairs. The amount of notice required depends on the reason for entry.
